// Intro
I spent the fall semester of my senior year helping Pizza Hut in the battle for pizza domination as an intern. As Pizza Hut was bringing back its classic logo nationwide, the franchisee in Austin was working on the remodel of the Pizza Hut located by the University of Texas at Austin campus.

// The Challenge
Fresh new look, fresh new customers?
That’s what the Pizza Hut team was hoping for. Before the remodel less than half of the transactions came from students. HOW COULD THAT BE? Research showed that one of the main concerns about the location was the outdated look. Alright, let’s remodel it but what’s next? The second thing that research showed was the lack of awareness about the location from the student population. It became apparent that the next steps were to connect to the student population beyond just coupons. Developing a campaign that resonated with the student population was the main priority. The approach of the campaign then turned into integrating into student’s daily activities, infiltrating (not literally...) student organizations and becoming a staple in every longhorns college experience (ambitious, I know.)
